PLATFORM
"I come from a hard-working family that has been involved with public service for as long as I can remember, so I want to work for you. We must create more income opportunities, improve our schools, and make true fiscal accountability top priority. With my 15 years of military experience and several years in the financial services industry, I know how to create smarter financial solutions for El Paso, navigate complicated government agencies and get things done efficiently."
LIST OF ISSUES
Education
There's a big difference between education and indoctrination. Parents are responsible for ensuring their children get the best possible chance to develop into critical thinkers and problem solvers, so they can create, produce and deliver value to society. I am dedicated to helping parents make that possible by making sure that independent school districts use education funds properly.
Housing
El Paso has the highest property tax in all of Texas and among the highest nationwide. This is intolerable and will not persist on my watch. Operational transparency and fiscal accountability are the hallmarks of good government. It's our responsibility to make that happen for the benefit of all El Paso residents. Help us to help you. Let's make housing affordable for everyone in El Paso, Texas!
El Paso County Priorities
The most important things I can do as County Commissioner of Precinct 2 is first to listen as you tell Commissioners Court what is the most important to you here in El Paso, then second, we must act upon those issues within our power to improve for your own benefit, not ours. El Paso County Commissioners Court works for you. Let us know exactly how we can serve you better, so we can prioritize ways to make quality of life in El Paso even better.
Infrastructure
El Paso's economy depends on serviceable roads in our neighborhoods, Interstate and State highways that let good commerce flow throughout El Paso. We will use funds meant for regularly scheduled maintenance only for that, and nothing else. Fiscal accountability empowers El Paso Commissioners Court to do our jobs in taking excellent care of you.
Healthcare
We can address this issue by ensuring that funds earmarked for indigent care are used exclusively for them prioritized as a matter of human dignity. Money is just a tool, not a god to be worshiped, misappropriated then hidden from public accountability. Let's help those in need.
Environment
God has abundantly blessed Texas with natural resources, energy, land, border culture and a dynamic lifestyle attracting people from all over the world. It is our responsibility to protect Texas lands for generations to come. Environmental health must remain at the forefront of our consciousness. Let's keep El Paso clean.
Pledge of Selfless Service
I pledge to neither vote for nor accept any personal pay raises while serving as the County Commissioner for Precinct 2. This pledge is a demonstration in good faith of my total commitment to selflessly serving our beloved El Paso County with honor.
